Prayers not allowed in Jamia Masjid on the first Friday of Ramadan

SRINAGAR


Prime Minister, Narendra Modi arrived Kashmir Friday afternoon. He is scheduled to preside over a security review meeting and to inaugurate Uri II hydro-power project in Uri.


Meanwhile, valley is witnessing a complete shutdown on Modi’s first visit as Prime Minister. Strict security arrangements have also been put in place. Many parts of valley is witnessing curfew like situation on Modi’s visit.


Restrictions on first Friday of Ramdan, no congregation prayers were allowed in the historical Jamia Masjid of Srinagar, locals said.


Sources said that PM Modi will preside a security meeting at Badami Bagh Cantonement.


They said that after lunch, PM Modi will flew to Uri.
