Girl dies in road accident, man of electrocution

SRINAGAR


A minor girl died while three persons were injured in two separate road accidents, a police statement said on Tuesday.


An unknown tractor hit and injured a minor girl Neelofar Jan daughter of Mohammad Yousuf Malla resident of Nowgam at Nowgam, Sumbal, Bandipora. The injured succumbed to her injuries while on way to the hospital.


Meanwhile, a Maruti car bearing registration number JK15/4254 skidded off the road at Panzipora, Bandipora. In this accident the driver Mohammad Arshid Khan son of Haji Abdul Khan his wife Shaheena and mother Naik Bibi resident’s of Shokhbaba Sumlar. All the injured were shifted to JVC Hospital for treatment


Meanwhile, the police said that one person was electrocuted to death when he came in contact with a live electric wire while cutting grass in an orchard in Sopore.


“Ghulam Mohammad Lone son of Abdul Jabbar resident of Lorihama was electrocuted while cutting grass in his orchard in Parraypora, Hadipora Dangiwacha resulting in his on spot death. The body was handed over to his relatives for last rites,” the statement said.
