2 die, 3 injured in road accidents

SRINAGAR


Two persons died while three others were injured in separate road accidents across the valley, a police statement said on Monday.


A Maruti car bearing registration number JK02M/3577 hit and injured a lady Sameera Rafiq daughter of Mohammad Rafiq Malik resident of Peernia, Boniyar at Trikajan in Boniyar. She was shifted to SHMS Hospital, Srinagar where she succumbed to her injuries.


Meanwhile, a motor cycle bearing registration number JK03C/5173 hit and injured a pedestrian Saida Begum wife of Abdul Aziz Thoker resident of Paljan at Paljan, in Kulgam. The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment where she succumbed to her injuries.


In another road accident, a TATA Sumo bearing registration number JK03B/2242 hit and injured a child Mehraj Ahmad resident of Sonehbrari at Dandipora, in Kokernag, Islamabad. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.


A Maxi-Plus vehicle (Chota Hathi) bearing registration number JK05D/5057 collided with a Tractor bearing registration number JK05A/8949 near Putkhah, in Tarzoo, Sopore. Abdul Rashid Bhat son of Ghulam Mohi-ud- Din Bhat resident of Trumgund who was boarding the Maxi Plus was injured in this mishap. The injured was shifted to District Hospital, Baramulla for treatment.


Meanwhile, an Alto car bearing registration number JK18/7661 collided with a bus parked on road side at village Brazloo, in Kulgam, resulting in injuries to the Alto driver Sabzar Ahmad Shah son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Kulgam. The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment.
