SRINAGAR: Lt Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday ordered appointment of new Vice-Chancellors of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra and Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST) Jammu.
The esteemed positions have been filled by Professor Pragati Kumar from Delhi Technological University, New Delhi, and Dr. Bhupendra Nath Tripathi, the Deputy Director General (Animal Science) at ICAR, New Delhi.
Both appointments have been authorized by Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha, who serves as the Chancellor for both universities. The tenure for these appointments is three years or until reaching the age of 65, whichever comes first, beginning from the date they assume their roles as Vice-Chancellors.
