SRINAGAR: An elderly man was killed in a hit-and-run accident in the Damhal Hanjippra area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday, officials said.
An official said that the man identified as Lal-Ud-Din Khan (70) son of Jamel Khan of Reasi was critically injured after being hit by an unknown vehicle near DK Marg, Kulgam.
He said that the injured was rushed to the district hospital Kulgam for treatment where he was shifted to SKIMS Soura.
“However, he died on the way to the hospital”, the official said.
