Reacting to the development of Air Force and Army being on high alert, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that putting of Army and Airforce on high alert is about something very different and not about article 35A or delimitation.
Taking to social networking site Twitter, Omar wrote: “What “ongoing situation” in Kashmir would require the army AND the Air Force to be put on alert? This isn’t about 35A or delimitation. This sort of alert, if actually issued, would be about something very different.”

Reports said that government also has pressed Indian Air Force aircraft for rapid induction of CRPF and other paramilitary troops into Kashmir.
