BJP’s national general secretary Ram Madhav on Wednesday said that the party would fight the upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir on all 87 seats alone without any alliance with regional parties.
The BJP leader said this while addressing party workers in Srinagar. On this occasion, several people joined the party.
BJP was in alliance with PDP governing the state until last year. Ram Madhav was the point man for BJP during the negotiations for forging the alliance with BJP in 2014-15.
He accused the regional parties like National Conference and People’s Democratic Party of resorting to fear-mongering on the issue of abrogation of article 35-A. he said that these parties are facing existence issues after the government launched the “anti-corruption” campaign in the state.
