The former Head of the Department (HoD) of Automobile Engineering section of Kashmir Government Polytechnic College Srinagar, Professor Ashraf Majeed passed away on Thursday night.
Sources close to the family said that professor Majeed passed way during the intervening night of Thursday and Friday. Professor Majeed was not keeping well for a very long time, he said.
Professor Majeed- a resident of Majeed Bagh Chanpora, is survived by a wife- a retired doctor and two children- both married.
The deceased was buried at his ancestral graveyard in Chanpora Srinagar.
