Following the water-logging in various areas of the Srinagar city, due to incessant rains that lashed Kashmir valley this morning, the district administration has activated dewatering stations in various parts of the city.
According to an official from district administration SMC ERA UEED, around 83 permanent dewatering stations, 22 temporary dewatering stations, and 13 vehicles of F&ES have been activated in the city for dewatering.

Earlier, soon after the heavy rains began many dewatering pumps were activated at all locations and sucker machines were also deployed.
Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir meteorological department has predicted more rains till July 28.
The heavy rainfall in the Kashmir valley from past many hours have created panic among people in Srinagar area other areas about the possibility of fresh floods, the spokesman of the local MeT said, adding that there are chances of heavy downpour in Jammu as well.
