Srinagar: A service rifle of a CRPF personnel was Saturday snatched allegedly by unidentified people during a clash between forces and protesters in Tral town, sources in police said.
A group of youth indulged in stone-pelting on police and paramilitary forces at bus stand in Tral, after forces launched a cordon and search operation at Nazneenpora village following information about presence of militants, they said.
Forces deployed in the area chased the protesters resulting in clashes.
Sources added that an INSAS rifle of a CRPF man was snatched by some protesters.
