Six houses gutted in fire at Kishtwar

JAMMU: Six houses were gutted in a fire that broke out in a temple in remote area of Kishtwar district on Wednesday .

Reports said that the fire broke out late last night in a temple in Chingam village of Dangar Nullah, Tehsil Chatroo on Sinthan-Kishtwar Road, which gradually spread to the nearby houses.

Reports said that in this fire six houses were gutted in the fire. Immediately after the fire broke out locals; police and the Army rushed to the spot and controlled the fire from spreading across the village. Citing the reasons for the fire, officials said that the fire broke out due to the sacred light inside the temple.
