Shopian: Gun shots were heard in between Meemander and Shah Latoo villages of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Thursday late afternoon.
There were firing shots near Meemander and Shah Latoo, Superintendent of Police, Shopian, Tahir Saleem confirmed to Kashmir Life.

“Immediately a party was sent to the area and search operation was launched,” he said, “but nothing was found in the area.”
Meanwhile there were rumors that residence of MLA Shopian has been attacked. However, the SP rejected saying, the residence is far away from the spot.
While talking to Kashmir Life, MLA Shopian said that he is not at home but has heard about the firing incident.
