DAK condemns ‘lathi-charge’ on NHM employees

Srinagar: Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) President, Dr G M Mir on Friday condemned the lathi-charge by police on National Health Mission (NHM) employees who are on pen down strike since Wednesday.

Dr Masood Rashid, executive member of DAK said it shows the authoritarian approach by the govt towards its employees and termed it sheer highhandedness on the their part.

Dr Irfan ul Shams ENT Specialist and executive member of DAK said that it’s highly condemnable that medical employees who are busy in saving and treating human lives are being lathicharged, which is simply ridiculous.

DAK stressed upon the Director General of police to advise the police officers to show restrain when they are dealing with the esteemed and respectful employees.
