CP Ganga visits slain soldier’s parents at Sangam

SRINAGAR: BJP’s Industries minister for J&K Chander Parkash Ganga visited Pachpora, Sangam in south Kashmir to express personal condolences to the family of the slain soldier, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Rather, who was killed in a militant attack at Mool, Chitragam in district Shopian few days back.

The Minister expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and said that sacrifice made by the brave soldier will always be remembered.

While interacting with the family of slain soldier, the Minister assured them of all possible support from the Government. He handed over Rs 50000 cash relief to the bereaved family and assured them that they shall be provided further assistance.

He also assured the family that the Government would bear the treatment expenses of ailing father of the slain soldier.

Ganga directed the ADC to expedite the processing of SRO-43 and ex-gratia relief so that necessary support is provided to the family. He also directed for identification of State land for development of a stadium or public park after the name of the slain soldier.
