SRINAGAR: A man was killed after a private car he was driving skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in the mountainous district of Poonch on Friday.
Quoting official sources news agency GNS reported that the accident took place when the driver lost control over Wagnor-R car (JK12B-066) on reaching near BSF camp Uchhad on old road. The driver identified as Ashish Khajuria son of Satish Kumar of Mangnar Haveli Poonch died on the spot, they said.
A police official said that a case has been registered in connection with an accident in which he confirmed one person died.
