National Investigating Agency (NIA) has summoned octogenarian Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Geelani’s son Naeem Geelani in connection with ‘funding case’, reports quoting NIA sources said. Naeem is a medical doctor by profession.
They said that besides, Hurriyat leaders’ associates, stone pelters and middlemen have also been summoned along with 25-30 more people.
The reports said that NIA is also investigating the ‘Dubai route of funding in Kashmir’.
NIA has already taken seven Hurriyat leader’s including Geelani’s son in law Altaf Fantosh into custody for ten days. Others who have been arrested include Naeem Khan, Shahid ul Islam, Ayaz Akbar, Bitta Karate and Mehraj Kalwal.
The seven leaders are reportedly to undergo polygraph test with court’s consent.
On Wednesday Enforcement directorate produced another senior Hurriyat leader Shabir Ahmad Shah, in a Delhi court. The court granted him into the custody of ED for seven days.
