Srinagar

The Government has asked has asked the migrant employees, who left Kashmir in 2016 due to unfavorable situation, to report to Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) within week’s time failing which disciplinary action will be taken against them.

“Some migrant employees working in the Department of School Education as Teaching/Non-Teaching employees left the Valley due to unfavorable situation in 2016 but were supposed to resume their duties after the winter break of 2016-17,” said a notification issued by the Director School Education Kashmir.

“While some of these employees have resumed their duties and are performing their duties at their respective places of posting, there is no justification for such employees who are still away from their respective places of work for remaining absent,” it said adding that the absence of such employees from the schools and other offices adversely affects the functioning of the Department.

It said the whereabouts of such employees are not known to their respective Drawing & Disbursing Officers who have put such employees on notice for resumption of their duties in the valley but to no avail.

It said such employees have entered into an agreement with the Department at the time of their initial engagement that they shall in no case ask for transfer from Kashmir and shall discharge their duties in the valley under all circumstances.

“Now, therefore, such Migrant Employees who have left the valley and are away from their respective places of work are advised to report to the Directorate of School Education Kashmir, Srinagar within a week’s time from the date of publication of this notice failing which appropriate disciplinary action shall be initiated without further notice,” the notification says.

The Directorate has also asked the Chief Education Officers of all districts in Kashmir Valley to submit the list of such employees within two days so that appropriate action could be initiated against the offenders.
