In an unfortunate incident, fifty one sheep died due to cloudburst in Tral meadows a couple of days ago in Pulwama district.
According to the local sources the clouds bursted and hit Nagabaren area, some 30 KMs from Tral town on afternoon of 23rd July.
The sheep that died in the incident belonged to Waseem Ali, Junaid Bakirwal, Ab Gani Parray, and Noor Mohd Dar, media reports said.
The shepherds were dismayed over the incident. “We have lost everything and are helpless now,” they told reporters in Tral.
The appealed the government for compensation to restart the sheep rearing for living.
