SRINAGAR
The slain militants who died in an encounter at Chenigam in Kulgam district Friday have been identified as Mohammad Abbas Malik of Nowpora and Manzoor Ahmad Malla of Chenigam.
Protests erupted in Bijbehara area of Islamabad district as news of the death of militants and a civilian spread in the area.
A civilian was killed when forces opened fire to disperse the protesters in Chenigam after the encounter ended.
