Tariq Ahmad Bhat of Nawbal, who was injured in Chenigam firing incident succumbed to his injuries.
Locals said that Bhat son of Moammad Ismail Bhat was injured when forces opened fire on protesters after two militants died in an encounter.
Protests had erupted in the village and the adjoining areas as the news of death of two local militants in the encounter spread in the area.
“Forces used firing against the protesters who were shouting anti-India slogans and slogans in favour of freedom and the militants,” locals said.
