SRINAGAR: Sameer Bhat, former NC Youth Zonal President north Kashmir and prominent youth leader from Bandipora, along with dozens of supporters on Sunday joined the Peoples Conference at a function held at Churchlane, Srinagar.
He was welcomed into the fold by PC President Sajad Gani Lone. Senior leader Khursheed Alam, youth GS Mudasir Karim, Youth state secretary Abid Mir, youth coordinator Salman Bukhari were also present on the occasion.
While welcoming Sameer Bhat into the fold, PC President Sajad Gani Lone expressed hope that in the coming years the JKPC would play a pivotal role in contributing to the welfare and politics of J&K.
“It is with great pleasure that we welcome Sameer sahib into our party. I am hopeful that this caravan of change will get stronger and play a constructive role in the extraordinary situation in J&K and navigate it through the troubled waters,” he said.
Lone further said that the PC was committed to promote active participation of youth at every level in the party and give them bigger responsibilities to shape a better tomorrow.
“Active and meaningful participation of the youth is imperative to address the challenges that have an impact on them and their future. We are committed to create spaces for the youth to take the mantle of responsibility and shape a brighter future for the coming generations,” he added.
While speaking on the occasion, Sameer Bhat said that he was inspired by the PC President’s sincerity of thought, vision and deep desire to usher in a new era of socio-economic development in J&K.
He expressed confidence in PC’s vision for change and party’s resolve to get Jammu and Kashmir out of the morass of uncertainty and chaos with a pragmatic and far- sighted approach.
“I genuinely believe that Sajad Lone is the only leader who has the capability to take J&K out of the current impasse and deliver for the people of Kashmir,” he added.
