Police and CRPF forces their entry in to residential houses in South Kashmir’s Seer Hamdan area in Islamabad district on Tuesday morning.
Reports and local sources said that the forces personnel raided the village around 3 in the morning to arrest youths.
“They came inside the houses thrashing inmates who were in deep sleep,” local said.
They said that intense protests erupted as news of raid spread.
“Forces fired tear gas canisters and pellets to disperse the protestors,” they added.
Dozens of the injured were shifted to sub-district hospital Seer Hamdan while many have been injured at a local PHC.
“We have treated 40 patients but injured persons are continuously,” a doctor at sub-district hospital Seer Hamdan said.
