As the mass uprising completes two months today, there seems no end to civilian killing in Kashmir.

After a 17-yeard-old non-medical student succumbed to his injuries on late Monday evening after being severely injured in forces action in Kupwara, one more youth was shot dead by forces (CRPF and police) in South Kashmir on Tuesday morning.

Reports reaching here said that forces raided Seer Hamdan village in Islamabad district at 3 AM today which evoked intense clashes between forces and locals.

Forces used pellets and over 60 civilians were injured.

“20-year-old Naseer Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Hassan Dar was hit by pellets causing multiple injuries to him,” reports said, “he was rushed to SDH Seer Hamdan where doctors declared him brought dead.”

Doctors at SDH Seer Hamdan confirmed that Naseer was “brought dead”. They added that one more lady was critically injured and has been rushed to Islamabad district hospital.

With Naseer’s killing civilian death toll has reached 76 since July 09, 2016. Nearly 11000 civilians have been injured in last two months during forces action.

CRPF and police men had barged into residential houses and thrashed the inmates during nocturnal raids. Even women and elderly persons were beaten ruthlessly resulting in protests and clashes.

“Protests against force’s highhandedness were going on when forces fired pellets which hit and killed Naseer,” reports said.
