The ‘controversial’ Pellet Gun

A J&K police cop was critically wounded after he accidentally fired a pellet gun into his abdomen in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday.

Reports said that the injured cop was identified as Mudasir.

He was first taken to district hospital to Shopian wherefrom he was referred to Srinagar.

Later, the authorities airlifted him to Srinagar in a critical condition and he has been admitted to Army base hospital at Badambagh.

Early in the day, a 20-year-old youth, Naseer Ahmad, was killed in Seer Hamdan when forces fired pellets on protestors.
