Continuing with the relief operations in the flood affected areas of Kashmir; Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS) Saturday crossed the mark of reaching out to 10000 families in three districts of Srinagar, Baramulla and Bandipora.
According to spokesman, IGSSS has provided cash assistance of Rs.1000 per family, kitchen utensils and hygiene kits to 2800 families in 14 areas Srinagar, 3900 families in 24 villages of Bandipora and 3500 families in 17 villages of Baramulla districts till now and will be reaching out to 6000 more families.
“IGSSS has plans to reach out to 16000 families in the first phase and rehabilitation for 10000 families in second phase which will start in coming months. IGSSS has also installed 10 water treatment plants in four villages of Baramulla and Bandipora,” said Yasir Qureshi, Regional Head of IGSSS. He further shared that 2000 more families from vulnerable and marginalized sections will be provided with food and woollen materials in coming weeks to counter the harsh winter.
