An encounter between militants and counter insurgent forces started in forest area of Verinag Kapran in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday morning.
Reports said that a joint team of Army and SOG launched a cordon and search operation in Verinag Kapran area after having credible inputs about the presence of some militants in the area.
As the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon forces triggering an encounter.
