Militants attack CRPF patrol in southern Kashmir, one injured

Militants on Saturday afternoon fired upon a CRPF deployment in Islamabad injuring one personnel, reports said.

They said that militants fired upon a patrol party of CRPF near Mir Bazar area of the district along the Srinagar-Jammu highway injuring one trooper.

Official sources confirmed the attack saying militants fired few shots at the party injuring one soldier identified as Anwar Ali.

Soon after the attack a heavy contingent of forces cordoned and started searches in the area.
