Sumbal update: 4 militants killed

SRINAGAR: In the wee hour attack on the Sumbal CRPF camp, at least four militants are reportedly killed in the retaliation.

Police sources told Kashmir Life the four militants were killed in retaliation jointly by the police and CRPF. The two forces are operated from locations very close by and the attack on CRPF was involving both of them.

The tensions started early at 4 am when militants mounted an attack on the CRPF garrison. They opened fore from various sides, mostly from the orchards. Retaliation was reported after the first light.

Identify of the slain militants was not immediately known. Also unknown is any loss to the CRPF or the police. Sources said it will take some time to get the full picture of the early morning clash started the ninth day of the month offasting.
