Clashes between forces and civilians broke out in Lelhar, Kakapora and Karimabad villages of Pulwama district Tuesday evening during search operations, reports said.
They said that forces laid a siege and started search operations in the villages after inputs about the presence of militants there.
Youth of both the villages took to streets and pelted stones on forces during the search operation and forces responded with teargas shelling.
