A Panchayat Ghar has been set ablaze in central Kashmir on late Friday night.
Reports on Saturday said that unknown miscreants put on fire a building which houses Panchayat Ghar in Chadoora area of Budgam district.
Windows of the building suffered minor damages in the fire, a news report said.
The building, located some four kilometres from Chadoora, was saved due to timely action of locals.
The news report added that that a petrol bomb was hurled at a boutique in main chowk Chadoora two days ago.
“The boutique suffered minor damage in the fire, which was doused by locals,” reports said.
Meanwhile, reports said that youths resorted to stone pelting in Srinagar’s Saida Kadal area. Protests erupted after a youth succumbed to his injuries on late Friday night in SKIMS Soura. He belonged to Shalimar and was laid to rest in Martyrs Graveyard Eidgah.
