Students were barred to meet Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Wednesday.
Eyewitnesses told news agency CNS that a group of students arrived at the residence of Mirwaiz at Nigeen on Wednesday morning.
Though they managed to enter into the premises but security officials there didn’t allow them to meet Mirwaiz.
“We were asked to leave the premises and they didn’t allow us to meet Mirwaiz sahab,” a student said.
He added that students had decided to raise the issues confronting students with the Mirwaiz. “Majority of the student’s community don’t want to appear in the examination, but government is eager to thrust examinations upon us. In this regard we had decided to meet Mirwaiz,” he said.
