Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) on Wednesday said that the forces have unleashed “brutality in its worst” across Kashmir.
“Indian occupying forces are on a brutalizing spree across Kashmir. Today around 100 civilians were pelleted, beaten and arrested in Aanchar, Bogam and Hajin areas. In Srinagar Aanchar area more than 90 civilians were injured when these occupying forces went berserk and started raiding the area,” said Nahida Nasreen, Secretary General of DeM.
She said, “this was brutality in its worst form. All this is done to break the resolve of people of J&K from pursuing the resistance movement going against the illegal Indian occupation.”
“India, its forces and the stooges can go to any extent to brutalize Kashmiris but this brutality won’t break our resolve but will strengthen it,” she added.
The DeM Secretary General said, “in Aanchar (Soura), police tried to set on fire the shrine of Jenab Sahib Soura. However, the locals resisted and chased them away. This is what they tried to do in broad day light. Why can’t they burn the schools? We have said it time and again that it is police who are involved in burning of schools and we reiterate it today that it is the handiwork of Police.”
Nasreen said, “it has been the routine of these barbarians to desecrate religious places of Kashmiris and hurt the sentiments. From the past three and a half months, the majority population of JK is up against the brute Indian forces and is not willing to budge. The movement for freedom will come at a cost, we may have to face hardships so it is an Islamic duty for us to face these hardships and continue the struggle until this movement is taken to its logical conclusion.”
She further said, “this war against India is for implementation of Islamic rule and an end to the Brahmanic illegal and forcible occupation of Muslim land.”
“It was inspiring to see that despite being showered by bullets, pellets, teargas canisters and PAVA shells, this unarmed and innocent nation is standing like a wall and resisting with full might. With the help of the Almighty Allah we will succeed. The people of Kashmir have shown that they form a great and a conscious nation by showing to the world that they won’t budge,” she added.
Meanwhile, a DeM spokesperson today said that police have “unleashed a reign of terror” in Hajin area of Bandipora district.
“People are being arrested and harassed. Fathers have been arrested for sons and vice versa. A renowned Professor Imtiyaz Ahmad has been arrested. SHO of police station Hajin is misbehaving with mothers and sisters of those who have been arrested,” she added.
