JKSSC meet on Nov 03, 2016 in Srinagar.
Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council (JKSSC) Thursday held a meeting in Srinagar with Kashmir based sports associations to promote Sports and games in the state.
The meeting was chaired by Secretary Sports Council Waheed ur Rehman Para, a statement issued by JKSSC said this evening.
“In the meeting, the associations were asked to furnish a detailed project report duly supported with financial implications for the creation of Sports Academies/School in their respective sports discipline in the state of J&K so that such proposals could be taken up to facilitate the creation of such schools/academies,” the statement said.
This meeting was held to “maintain cooperation” between sports association and government for the “reforms” in the sports arena of J&K, said an official who was present in the meeting.
The association representatives were asked to provide suggestions so that sports are promoted every nook and corner of the state, the official said.
He said, “it was announced in the meeting that a coordination committee will also be set between associations and government for the promotion of sports in the state.”
