Panic spread in twin villages of the South Kashmir’s Kulgam district after two wildlife creatures were found.

Locals informed Kashmir Life that a couple of wild bear was spotted in the Ammu and Pehloo villages, creating fear and panic in the area.

“Despite informing the Wildlife department the team from the department is yet to reach the spot and locals are chasing them at their own,” said a local of Pehloo village.

However, refusing the locals’ claim, Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Showkat Aijaz Bhat said, “after receiving information of two bear—mother and cub—I immediately directed Wildlife team to rush to the sot.”

“Wildlife department team, police and a magistrate, is on the spot monitoring the situation,” he said.

According to the locals, the wild animals have injured a number of locals from the surrounding areas from past couple of weeks.

Notable to mention here, early in the day, a poisonous viper was found in Jawahar Nagar area of summer capital creating panic in the area.
