A JKP cop stationed at Rainawari Police Station Srinagar Saturday decamped with service rifle (AK-47).
Reports have identified the cop as SPO Riyaz Ahmad of Budgam’s Khansahib area, who has fled with the rifle of constable Showkat Ahmad of Rainawari.
Lately, Kashmir Valley is witnessing a series of incidents wherein cops have decamped with their service rifle. The trend has apparently unnerved police’s rank and file.
