Tremors Shook Kashmir Valley

Mild tremors shook Kashmir Monday afternoon, drawing people out of indoors in droves in panic.

The MeT Deptt said the intensity of earthquake was measured 7.0 on Richter Scale. “Its depth was 25 kms and its epicenter was located in Tajikistan.”

Today’s tremors came weeks after tremors of 7.5 intensity on Richter Scale rattled Kashmir.

Kashmir, it is pertinent to mention here, falls in Seismic Zone 5, making the region earthquake vulnerable.
