Militant Killing: Train Services Suspended in Kashmir

Rail services were terminated Tuesday between Banihal and Baramulla in view of the prevailing tension in South Kashmir’s Islamabad district.

“Rail services between Banihal (Ramban district of Jammu region) and Baramulla (Kashmir valley) were suspended as a precautionary measure,” sources said.

An official from the Northern Railway Services told Kashmir Life that rail services resumed early today normally, however, the services were stopped this afternoon after situation deteriorated in Bijbehara area of South Kashmir.

Three militants were killed in Ashmuqam area of Islamabad Monday evening. They were locals of Bijbehara. And clashes erupted in the area today after the trio militants were laid to rest.
