The army Saturday morning claimed to have killed two suspected militants in the ongoing ‘encounter’ with forces in border district of Kupwara.
“The militants were challenegd as they tried to sneak in to this side of Kashmir; they fired on forces triggering an encounter,” reports quoted an army official as having said.
“Two militants have so far been killed in the exchange of firing,” he added.
However, Srinagar based Defence PRO, did not respond to Kashmir Life calls to confirm the incident, independently.
