Kulgam encounter ended after both the militants were killed when the residential house in which they were holed up was blasted, the reports said.
The slain militants have been identified as Idrees Ahmad Nengroo of Budroo, Yaripora, and Javed Ahmad resident of Redwani.
Earlier a civilian, Asif Tantray, was killed and two army men were injured in the encounter that broke out on Sunday night after a joint team of police and army acting on a tip-off about the presence of militants in Redwani Bala village of the district launched a search operation.
Stone-pelting was also reported at the encounter site with villagers trying to break the cordon.
