Maruti Rams into Army Vehicle, Civilian Dies

A civilian was killed when his private vehicle driven by him rammed into an Army vehicle near at Chenad area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

A police official told CNS that the Maruti Car (JK05A-3504) driven by deceased Nazir Ahmed Lone son of Abdul Gafar Lone, a resident of Udipora Langate of Kupwara district was on way to Srinagar when in a bid to avoid collision with a Wagon R (JK05A-0929) coming from the opposite direction, it rammed into a Army vehicle belonging to 52 RR parked along the roadside.

“The deceased was shifted to local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. We have registered a case vide FIR number 81/2015 under section 304A and investigation has been taken up,” the official said adding that the accident was the outcome of the rash and negligent driving.
