SRINAGAR
Ghulam Rasool Mufti, father of Kashmir’s prominent journalist, Mufti Islah—who heads the operations of the news channel, CNN-IBN from Srinagar—passed away on Tuesday after losing battle to his ill health.
Mufti Sr, as per the family sources, had slipped at Soura a few days ago. He was hospitalised in Srinagar’s SKIMS where he was operated upon. But his condition remained critical till he breathed his last on Tuesday, the family sources say.
The deceased was the retired executive engineer.
Kashmir Life team offers its condolences to Mufti family.
Muftis were living in Lal Bazaar and have shifted to Sanat Nagar recently. The deceased was the uncle of BSNL executive, MG Mufti.
