‘Heavy Rains’ Behind 3 Civilian Killings in Rajouri Minefield: Army

Army Saturday said that three civilian killings in a mine blast in district Rajouri near LoC was triggered by heavy rainfall.


The spot where the incident took place is said be a minefield, where villagers owned agriculture land.


“Due to heavy showers, a mine drifted from a minefield into a farmland and killed three labourers,” an army spokesman was quoted as saying.


The incident took place at Jangher village, 80km from LoC


All the three labourers died on spot and another sustained injuries.
