SRINAGAR
An IPS officer posted in Jammu died allegedly of H1N1 infection on Thursday. This is reported to be the first death due to Swine Flu in Jammu.
Sources said that SP Sunil Gupta was posted at PHQ Jammu and he passed away today afternoon.
They added that Gupta had developed fever a couple of days earlier after which treatment was started however he passed away.
Swine Flu has created hue and cry in the common circles in the valley where two deaths have already occurred. More than eighty persons have been tested positive of H1N1.
Doctors are yet to confirm his death due to H1N1 however they said that Gupta was complained a respiratory problem and died.
