SRINAGAR: A 32-year-old Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Jawan succumbed to cardiac arrest in the Wachi area of South Kashmir’s Shopain district on Sunday, officials said.
The trooper, identified as Jai Prakash of the 246 battalion, lost consciousness at the Wachi CRPF camp. He was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.
In the meantime, the police have initiated an inquiry into the incident. (KS)
