SRINAGAR: An SPO was killed, and two CRPF personnel were injured after suspected militants on Monday morning attacked joint Naka party in Kreeri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A senior police officer told news agency GNS that militants fired upon the Naka party. The fire was retaliated by forces triggering a brief exchange of firing.
During the exchange of firing one SPO identified as Muzaffar Ahmad was killed and two CRPF troopers were injured and subsequently shifted to a nearby hospital, the officer said.
The officer further said that there are chances of encounter as the militants have been surrounded by forces.
