Srinagar
Two police personnel were killed and another injured when militants fired upon them in Nowgam area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Friday.
An official said that militants fired upon the police personel at Nowgam area in the outskirts of the city.
He said three police personnel were injured in the attack and were shifted to hospital.
While two of the personnel were declared brought dead by the doctors at the hospital, an official said.
The area has been cordoned off and a hunt has been launched to nab the attackers, he added.
