With the two additional patients, the overall tally of Covid-19 positive cases in the desert region have gone up to 17. So far, officials said 12 of them have recovered. Now the region that reported the prevalence of the disease first in erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir state, has only five active cases.
It is interesting to mention here that Ladakh tops the list of states and UTs in India that have done Covid-19 tests on a large scale. With its population, less than 300 thousand Ladakh has tested as many as 2110.9 people per million. Jammu and Kashmir has tested 215.9 per million, so far. The information was shared by the Ladakh Health Secretary on his twitter. It has done 618 samples so far.
Of the five active cases, Ladakh has now three cases from Leh and two from Kargil.
