A gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Arwani area of south Kashmir’s Bijbhera.
An official said a Joint team of Army, Special Operations Group (SOG) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched a cordon-and-search-operation after “specific inputs” about the presence of militants in Arwani area.
“Exchange of fire reported from Arwani Anantnag. Security forces on Job. More details to follow,” Police wrote on Twitter.
