Rifle snatching bid foiled by Police in Kulgam

Police on Friday foiled rifle snatching bid when two militants tried to approach towards station grid Wanpoh area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

However, the alert sentry fired some gunshots in the air and meantime suspected militants escaped from the spot, police said.

SSP Kulgam Harmeet Singh confirmed the incident said that alert sentry fired some gunshots in the air after suspected militants had come with an intention to snatch rifle.

Meanwhile, the whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.
