Army on Sunday evening claimed that a militant was killed in a brief gunfight at Pahnoo area of Shopian district in south Kashmir on Sunday evening.
Army’s spokesperson said militants attacked Mobile Vehicle Check Post (MVCP) of army’s 44 RR at Pahnoo village at around 20:00 hours. In retaliatory operation, one militant was killed, claimed.
The operation in the area is still going on, he said.
